CityVet opened its fourth Houston-area practice in September 2026 with the launch of CityVet Harmony in Spring, Texas, a community north of the city.
The clinic is owned and operated by Dr. Emily Murphy, a 2014 graduate of the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine who has practiced small-animal medicine across the Houston metro since completing her degree.
What does the new clinic offer?
CityVet Harmony delivers a full-service veterinary package to the Spring community:
- Routine wellness examinations and preventive care
- Urgent care for non-emergency illness and injury
- Diagnostic imaging and in-house laboratory work
- Surgical procedures
- Chronic disease management for long-term conditions
The Spring location places the practice within reach of Kingwood and other northeast Houston neighborhoods.
Who is leading the practice?
Dr. Murphy grew up in the Kingwood community in northeast Houston and returned to the region after veterinary school. For the past 12 years she has treated companion animals across the metro area.
She said: "I want to create a practice where clients feel heard, pets feel safe, and families know they have a trusted partner through every stage of their pet's life."
She added: "Opening my own clinic gives me the opportunity to bring that vision to life right here where my family and I live. I want CityVet Harmony to become a place local families know and trust for years to come, where every pet and every person who walks through our doors is treated with compassion, honesty and respect."
Dr. Murphy also wants clients to "feel informed, supported and confident in the care their pet receives."
What community partnerships are planned?
CityVet said Dr. Murphy intends to build ties with local schools, rescue organizations and community programs in the Spring area. The company's franchise-style model supports individual ownership while providing back-office infrastructure.
What does CityVet's leadership say?
CityVet president and chief executive David Boguslawski framed the opening as a continuation of the company's local-ownership philosophy.
He said: "Dr. Murphy has spent years earning the trust of pet owners throughout northeast Houston. Now she'll have the opportunity to build a practice that's truly her own while continuing to care for the community she's been part of for most of her life. That's exactly the kind of local ownership CityVet was built to support."
What's next for CityVet in Houston?
CityVet has not announced a fifth Houston-area location. With four clinics now operating across the metro, the group will watch suburban growth in Spring, Kingwood and surrounding communities for additional expansion opportunities in 2027 and beyond.
